About Us

Why Dismissal exists.

We're building the calmest, safest twenty minutes of the school day — getting the right child to the right car, every afternoon.

The problem

Dismissal is the hardest part of the day.

For most schools, afternoon pickup is run on paper signs, walkie-talkies, and memory. It's the one moment when hundreds of children and cars converge at once — and the stakes are the highest of the day.

It's slow

Carlines back up into the street while staff radio names back and forth and hand-match clipboards to windshields.

It's manual

Printed placards, dry-erase boards, and a teacher squinting at each car. Every release depends on someone remembering a face or a name.

It's high-stakes

A child released to the wrong vehicle is every administrator's worst afternoon. The margin for error is zero, and the tools haven't kept up.

It's stressful

Front-office staff, teachers on duty, and waiting parents all absorb the chaos — twice a day, every day, all year.

How it started

It started at the curb.

Dismissal began with a simple observation: the technology a parking lot already uses to read a license plate could tell a school exactly who had arrived — instantly, hands-free, and without a single extra app for families to download.

So we built it. A solar-powered camera reads the plate at the curb, maps it to the family and the children due for dismissal, and shows front-office staff who to bring out — in order, with a confidence score. It installs in a day: no wiring, no servers, no IT project. The carline that used to crawl starts to flow, and the right student goes to the right car.

Our purpose

The right child, to the right car.

Our purpose is to make dismissal safe, fast, and calm for every school — protecting the children at the center of it and giving their families peace of mind.

Safety first

Every release is matched to an authorized vehicle and logged, so the right child leaves with the right person — every time.

Effortless for schools

Built for the people running the carline. It installs in a day and works on day one — no new hardware project, no training marathon.

Privacy by design

We read plates, not faces — and use student data only to run dismissal. Our full posture lives on the trust page.

Every afternoon, a school trusts us with the most important handoff of the day. That's the standard we build to.

Dismissal is built for K–12 schools — private by design, with our complete compliance posture published on the trust page.
